yo.

here is a painting i just finished called “freedom fries”
freedom fries

i had one hell of a great time making this thing. it’s not at all what i had planned, but i love how it turned out. it’s about 26 inches square, see the spray can for scale. the flag is painted on the back of the glass, while the grenade and bikini stencils are sprayed on the front surface of the glass.

another one i just finished is one i call “princess xia luh travels through time”

it’s acrylic ink and watercolor.

i’ll wrap this post up with a pic of me upon returning from work, after riding several miles in a hailstorm.
Nacho and Ben

seriously, if you see me riding my bike in a hail storm, stay out of my way. i will kill you and eat your still beating heart.

those are a few shots Amanda Rupp took of this is a painting i did the other day. i really liked it, so i gave it to her for her birthday. why the title “not flames/skulls” you may wonder.
well, a few years ago i was leading a creative worship time at Golden Gardens park with our staff. we took paper and, with charcoal from the fire pits we made art. i made some skulls and flames, which given the materials involved, were an obvious choice. during our sharing time, Amanda Rupp pointed out that pretty much the only thing i EVER drew were flames and skulls. i laughed because she was right.

anyway, this is a watercolor/acrylic ink painting of NOT flames/skulls.
