first off- here is a radio ad put out by an organization called matthew25.org

these guys represent something you may not have heard of- the pro-life democrats.

not only is it a thoughtful and persuasive ad being run on “christian radio” (where it is badly needed) but it refers to one of the few passages of scripture which still make sense to me- matthew 25. what do you think of these groups and their messages?

-PART TWO OF PRO-REGULATION

sarah palin recently said that we need “more regulation” on the financial markets to prevent further destruction of the US economy. i wonder if she’s heard of a guy named phil gramm… do you know who he is? he was one of the key proponents of the final deregulation of the market in 1999. he basically got the changes passed that put CEOs in position to make millions and MILLIONS of dollars from tax payer buyouts. here is the interesting part- Phil Gramm is also the republican mccain/palin campaign’s ECONOMIC POLICY ADVISOR. “we need more regulation” my ass. palin- if you really think this you’d better fire your economic advisor. i seriously can’t believe this ticket. these guys will screw us if they get the chance. they don’t care about anybody in this country but the richest 1 percent.

let’s wrap this up with a nice “generic-off” from John Stewart.

so today McCain announces his running mate for the election, Sarah Palin, governor of the large but sparsely populated state of Alaska (pop. 670,000- similar to Seattle’s)
here’s a BBC link with video of her speaking (LINK)

this is really remarkable to me, as McCain also turned SEVENTY FREAKING TWO today, making him potentially the OLDEST PERSON EVER TO BECOME THE PRESIDENT. for some perspective, let’s consider the fact that this guy is almost the average age that men die in America (75.29 according to the CIA world fact book). this means that IF he was an “average male” HE WOULD NOT SURVIVE A FOUR YEAR TERM. yeah, he’d have WAY better health care than the average american (assuming that he doesn’t pursue Obama’s health care plan) but that is balanced out by the fact that he’s had cancer. TWICE.

so- is this lady ready to lead the United States? nope. but she will help out in the polls, and that’s what matters, because you are an idiot. the campaign is betting/hoping that women will vote for this lady, simply due to the fact that she has kids and a vagina. the new campaign slogan- “McCain/Palin in ‘08, one of us has a vagina!”

please don’t believe these two. they are confused.
