first off- here is a radio ad put out by an organization called matthew25.org

these guys represent something you may not have heard of- the pro-life democrats.

not only is it a thoughtful and persuasive ad being run on “christian radio” (where it is badly needed) but it refers to one of the few passages of scripture which still make sense to me- matthew 25. what do you think of these groups and their messages?

-PART TWO OF PRO-REGULATION

sarah palin recently said that we need “more regulation” on the financial markets to prevent further destruction of the US economy. i wonder if she’s heard of a guy named phil gramm… do you know who he is? he was one of the key proponents of the final deregulation of the market in 1999. he basically got the changes passed that put CEOs in position to make millions and MILLIONS of dollars from tax payer buyouts. here is the interesting part- Phil Gramm is also the republican mccain/palin campaign’s ECONOMIC POLICY ADVISOR. “we need more regulation” my ass. palin- if you really think this you’d better fire your economic advisor. i seriously can’t believe this ticket. these guys will screw us if they get the chance. they don’t care about anybody in this country but the richest 1 percent.

let’s wrap this up with a nice “generic-off” from John Stewart.

several complaints August 1st, 2008

-for 1077 the end/the church of lazlo- i’ve gotten like 50 hits here at burnitdown from people searching the interweb for info about the church. i don’t have any. you guys should tell people what the hell is going on with you. put something on the website. do a mass email on myspace, something. i mean, personally i don’t care, but i don’t think it’s fair for your fans to be in the dark. come on.

-for IKEA. my wife went all the way down there to pick up a few things for the house, and she found a different IKEA than she remembered. you see- like many companies, IKEA is now selling 2 kinds of products: super-cheap garbage that will fall apart 4 weeks after you put it together, and the other category- super-expensive stuff that will fall apart 4 weeks after you put it together. look Ingvar, your store was fine when the stuff was affordable because i could put it together myself. now you expect me to buy something for MORE than it’s worth, and then ASSEMBLE IT!!? come on. not to mention the fact that the last two things we got from there DIDN’T HAVE ALL THE PARTS NEEDED TO ASSEMBLE THE PRODUCT. if i see you on the street ingvar, chances are i will kick your ass.

-Motley Crue- for doing another album, and going on tour again. it’s time to pack it up, boys. you are almost as old as john mccain.

-Pam Anderson- for doing another tv show. Pam, you are 41. i know you’re from BC, which is a plus in my book, but seriously. you got famous for having giant fake boobs. that’s no reason to keep being a “celebrity” and doing these awful TV shows. give us a break. if you take my advice, you will probably need another career, assuming that you don’t have any of the 10 mazillion dollars you have made off your hooters over the last 20 years. here are a few suggestions for employment: wal*mart greeter, denny’s waitress, small-time radio sidekick that doesn’t know you’re the butt of most of the jokes, or professional grandmother.

-john mccain- it’s weak that you keep voting against benefits for veterans. even IF you weren’t accusing obama of all the garbage that you are, it would still be weak sauce that you won’t support veterans. weak. not everybody is married to a beer millionaire-ess, and some of those old dudes really have it rough. my advice for you is, keep talking. almost every time you say something you end up contradicting yourself, so please keep up the good work.

-mc donalds- you are a crappy “burger joint”. stay out of the espresso business. i will never drink one of your crappy drinks, because i never go in to your crappy restaurants. leave the espresso to the coffee shops, douchebags.
